About Me

 

     I have been teaching at St. Louise since 2020. Prior to that, I spent 13-years working as a fishery biologist for Mt. Rainier National Park and Washington State Department of Fish & Wildlife. The most fulfilling  part of my job was providing field-level training to elementary school children about how to collect biological data in several rivers in the Pacific Northwest. 

 

     This immense gratification in sharing my love for ecology with students led me to pursuing a Masters in Teaching. My prior teaching experiences include general education and special education teaching in elementary schools in Issaquah, and 6th grade at St. Louise.

 

     In my spare time, I enjoy foraging for berries, mushrooms, beach wood, rocks, shells, and sea glass. I create jewelry with my beachcombing treasures. I live in Kennydale with my daughter, Katherine, who is a Kindergartner at St. Louise. I earned my Bachelors of Science in Environmental Science from The Evergreen State College and my Masters from Northwest University.
