Your VOICE deserves to be HEARD!

Words have power. They convey messages and influence listeners. In this club, participants will prepare speeches and learn to select the right words and sentence structure to communicate ideas clearly, accurately, and vividly.

To prepare for the tournaments, the Speech team will meet weekly on Sundays starting late September and ending early December for all members. New Members are highly encouraged to participate in an optional 7-week Speech Fundamentals course offered on Mondays after school, beginning late September and ending late November.

Open to Grades: 6th – 8th
“No School” days will be observed accordingly.

St. Louise has an opportunity to participate in 3 tournaments during the Speech season: Bishop Blanchet, Seattle Prep, and Archbishop Murphy. Additionally, St. Louise sponsors and hosts a practice tournament for all St. Louise Speech Team participants in November. Sixth graders are welcome to join speech and participate in the St. Louise tournament, as well as the other high school, hosted tournaments if space allows.
