Student Health

St. Louise School is committed to maintaining a healthy environment for all students by adhering to the Archdiocese of Seattle's health and safety requirements, including comprehensive immunization policies and procedures for administering medication at school.

Immunization Policy:

  • Compliance Required: All students must meet state and Archdiocesan immunization requirements to attend school. Proof of current immunizations or a valid exemption must be submitted and kept on file.  Only medical exemptions, verified and documented by a licensed healthcare provider, will be accepted. Non-medical exemptions, including religious or personal reasons, are not permitted.  View our full Immunization Policy HERE.
  • Updates: Families are responsible for updating immunization records as needed.

Authorization to Administer Medication:

  • Medication at School: For students needing medication during school hours, parents must complete the "Authorization to Administer Medication" form, signed by both the parent and the child’s healthcare provider. This authorization allows trained school personnel to administer prescription and over-the-counter medications. Find the form HERE.
  • Safe Administration: Medications must be provided in their original containers, clearly labeled with the student’s name, dosage, and administration instructions.

Additional Health Guidelines:

  • Health Screenings: Routine health screenings such as for hearing and vision, may be conducted throughout the year to monitor the well-being of students.
  • Illness and Attendance: Parents should keep children home if they show signs of illness, such as fever or contagious symptoms, to help prevent the spread of sickness within the school.
