Pre-Kindergarten
Pre-Kindergarten at St. Louise
Pre-Kindergarten at St. Louise provides a joyful, engaging year of growth and discovery as children prepare for the transition to Kindergarten. In a warm, faith-filled environment, students build confidence, independence, friendships, and foundational academic skills through hands-on learning and meaningful relationships with teachers and classmates.
As part of St. Louise Parish School, our Pre-K program follows the school calendar and regular school-day schedule. Students are active members of our larger school community, experiencing the traditions, relationships, and sense of belonging that make St. Louise special.

Learning & Kindergarten Readiness
Our Pre-K curriculum combines purposeful play, exploration, classroom routines, and developmentally appropriate academics. Students are encouraged to ask questions, solve problems, work collaboratively, and develop a love of learning across a variety of areas:
- Literacy: Building language skills and developing early understanding of letters, sounds, vocabulary, and beginning reading concepts.
- Math: Exploring counting, number recognition, patterns, sorting, and early problem-solving skills.
- Science: Hands-on investigation of topics such as seasons, weather, plants, animals, and the world around us.
- Social Studies: Learning about families, communities, traditions, relationships, and responsible classroom citizenship.
- Creative & Physical Development: Art, music, movement, outdoor play, and fine- and gross-motor activities support creativity and whole-child growth.
Faith & Community
Faith is woven naturally into the Pre-K experience through prayer, Catholic values, kindness, gratitude, service, and age-appropriate faith formation. Students also participate in school traditions and service opportunities that help them develop empathy, responsibility, and care for others.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
Classroom centers, special projects, field trips, performances, and school events add variety and excitement to the Pre-K experience. These opportunities encourage children to explore new interests, make connections with their learning, and become increasingly confident members of the St. Louise community.
After-School Care
For families who need care beyond the regular school day, St. Louise Kids’ Club provides after-school care for Pre-K students until 5:45 PM. Kids’ Club is a separate after-school care option available once the regular school day ends.
