CYO at St. Louise

cyoSt. Louise School proudly participates in the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) Athletics program, offering a wide range of sports for students from grades K through 8. Our athletics program is designed to promote physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a faith-centered environment. A unique and vital aspect of our program is the involvement of dedicated parent volunteer coaches, who play an essential role in mentoring and guiding our young athletes.

Program Highlights:
  • Sports Offered: CYO Athletics at St. Louise includes basketball, soccer, volleyball, track and field, and cross country, providing opportunities for students of all skill levels to participate and excel.

  • Parent Volunteer Coaches: Our program thrives thanks to the commitment of parent volunteers who serve as coaches, assistant coaches, and team managers. These volunteers not only teach the fundamentals of the sports but also instill values such as discipline, teamwork, and respect. Their involvement creates a strong sense of community and allows students to see positive role models in action.

  • Benefits of Participation:

    • Physical Fitness: Regular participation in sports helps students develop healthy habits, improve physical fitness, and enjoy the benefits of being active.

    • Teamwork and Leadership: Through CYO sports, students learn the importance of working together, setting goals, and leading by example, both on and off the field.

    • Sportsmanship: Emphasizing good sportsmanship, our program teaches students to compete with integrity, respect opponents, and handle both victories and defeats gracefully.

Philosophy and Mission:

The mission of the St. Louise CYO Athletics program is to provide a positive, faith-based environment where students can grow physically, socially, and spiritually through sports. We believe in the power of athletics to teach life lessons, build character, and strengthen the school community.

Get Involved:
  • Volunteer as a Coach: We encourage parents to get involved as volunteer coaches. No prior coaching experience is necessary—just a willingness to help and a positive attitude. Training and support are provided to ensure all volunteers are equipped to make a difference.
  • Support Our Teams: Parents and families are also encouraged to support our athletes by attending games, helping with logistics, or joining our athletics committee.
