2nd Grade Overview:

  • Reading: Emphasizes phonics, fluency, and comprehension strategies.
  • Math: Covers addition, subtraction, geometry, and problem-solving.
  • Science: Studies biodiversity, plant adaptations, erosion, and matter properties.
  • Social Studies: Includes map skills, Native American studies, and government.
  • Language Arts, Spelling, and Handwriting: Focus on grammar, spelling, and manuscript writing.
  • Additional Subjects: PE, Technology, Music, Library, Art, and Personal Safety.
